lyrics

I met this little princess, guess I always knew her face from Uni, but back then didn’t talk knew nothing of her but her beauty, cos we were rarely ever there, me drunk her poison weed, the small contact we had though turned out to plant some kind of seed

A seed that grew a little bit as we met eventually, man at first I was so nervous, had to have a can or three, but thankfully she didn’t notice as the night went swimmingly, and for me straight away the old cliché but we were meant to be

We shared the same views on loads as we spoke over drinking, similar sense of humour same expense of over thinking, no tense or awkward sentences came into the equation, no silences or boredom only fluent conversation

We had taken, any nerves away with the blatant connection we possessed that day and as we embraced for the first time we fit together nicely as we took cans to the coast for most four pound a pint’s quite pricey.

What would you do, If I wrote you a love song? Would you cry if I wrote you a love song?

Would you be moved, If I wrote you a love song?

What would you do, If I wrote you a love song?

Would you be moved, If I wrote you a love song?

Would you stop crying if I wrote you a love song?

So as it got later, darker and colder as the evening, got older I would hold her then cos we were fucking freezing, so we went back to mine and five days later still together, doing nothing much I could have done not much forever

Then about a week went by until the next time that we met, she planned a big surprise even though she was deep in debt, the call to say she was on her way completely made my day, whistle why you work is that not what the old boys say

That afternoon and evening passed us by so rapidly, though that was the last night we were involved romantically, cos she had things to do she had to catch a plane and leave up to then we stayed friends though it was more than that for me

It was more than every now and then catching up to see, how each other were it was travelling a hundred miles to meet. Northampton down to Kent my wages spent so I could literally sleep by her it sounds soft but its what it was for me.

What would you do, If I wrote you a love song? Would you cry if I wrote you a love song?

Would you be moved, If I wrote you a love song?

What would you do, If I wrote you a love song?

Would you be moved, If I wrote you a love song? Would you stop crying if I wrote you a love song?
